Shirley Jones News

Academy Award-winning movie star and "Partridge Family" "mom" Shirley Jones just turned 75, yet that's not stopping her from trying something surprising and edgy.

The actress has been filming an episode of Benjamin Bratt's A&E series, "The Cleaner" in which she plays a boozing, faded chanteuse.

In addition, Daily Variety is reporting that Jones is working on a special for PBS, "Shirley, at 75, With Her Friends," and a concert tour with Florence Henderson that kicks off in Indianapolis in August.

"The Cleaner," inspired by the true story of a real-life "extreme interventionist," stars Benjamin Bratt as William "The Cleaner" Banks, who, after hitting rock-bottom from his own addictions after the birth of his daughter, strikes a tentative deal with God. Now along with his unconventional team, he helps people get away from their addictions by any means necessary.
