I am looking for old DC newsletters from the various fan clubs through the years.
DCAS
DA-IDY
Cassidy Class
DGAD
Friends of the Cassidys (Cheryl do you still put this out or is it all on your web site?) Any back issues?

Many thanks
Darryl

I still have my olf FOTC newsletters, but they are packed away for moving. We don't know WHEN we're moving, but my parents are prepared to load the van anyway!

Let me know when you have time to get to them, after your move (of course). What year did you stop sending them out?

Hey, Darryl: Very Happy

Just got back from eBay, so to speak, and noticed that they have a DC "Alive And Kicking" Newsletter available from 10-11/1975. The item number is: 370095549601. For all I know you may A) Be the first bidder with the opening bid is $12.50, or B) Already have the item in question.

In any case, best of luck with it, and let us know it goes. Wink

Yes I am the first bidder.
Don't you hate ebay masking bidder identities?
I've met some collector friends through ebay.

Yeah, I don't know WHY eBay wants to keep bidders a secret from one another. Confused I mean, it's not like we're gonna hunt one another down simply because we've been outbid! Rolling Eyes Though, having said that, I must confess that (being a SORE LOSER) I've been TEMPTED on occasion.... Shocked Twisted Evil Laughing

From what I understand, as of Monday, October 20, eBay's going to begin their fixed pricing policy, ending all auctions. Wonder how that's going to effect both buyers and sellers?

Best of luck with the newsletter. Hope you win it. Let us know, won't you, as I could talk about PF memorablia forever and a day -- QUITE LITERALLY. Embarassed Surprised Laughing Wink

Where did you hear this? If they stop all auctions and only have fixed prices, they may as well shut down the site.
The auctions are ebay's bread and butter.
The higher an auction goes, the more fees they collect.

Hey, again, Darryl: Very Happy

'Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but I had to "research" the subject, as it were. Laughing It seems that you were RIGHT, and I was WRONG. Embarassed

October 20, 2008 is the day eBay begins their "paperless payments" program (where sellers no longer accept checks or money orders as payment from buyers) -- or, rather, sellers CAN NO LONGER SOLICIT such as means of payment from buyers (i.e., sellers can only accept these forms of payment IF the BUYER requests same) -- all of which only ADDs to the current confusion of eBay's ever-changing policies, but what else is new! Shocked Confused Rolling Eyes

In regards to the continued rumors of their "fixed pricing" in future, well, I guess that remains to be seen. Surprised

I can pay by check (even if it is not offered) if I am a regular customer.

I won the newsletter and reconnected with a fan I knew back in the 80s & early 90s. I had lost track of him when I moved and went on the internet.
