Hey Guys,

I was watching the Antiques roadshow the other day and I was wondering does anybody know if Jim has had his collection valued by someone in the antiques/collectibles trade? If so how much? Or maybe even the great man himself can tell me, I'm curious to see how much its worth!

grooviness always,
Laurie Smile

Laurie,

G'day from Jim! Thanks for enquiring about my collection. Yes it is quite extensive and have to say I have never gotten anyone to come and appraise the value of the whole collection but it would be worth quite alot today. There's not enough room in my "Collection Room" to even display everything properly.........maybe one day in the future.

Another neat item I have added in my collection is one of David's Original costumes he wore on his 1974 tour of Australia, Britain, & Europe. If you'd like to see what I'm talking about just go to David's autobiography book on the photo which says:"IN CONCERT"....underneath is a photo of Talking to jockey at a Paris racecourse. There's also another color photo "In Concert" again and underneath it say's "A waif". It's an embroided RED dungarees costume. The design is quite intricate and stunning. I was very lucky to get this. Someone had told me it could be worth in the vicinity of 10,000. Can you imagine?

Well Laurie thanks for your interest.........maybe one day someone out there can release a proper merchandising book of what really came out in the early 70's on David and the P. Family worldwide. There was just so much stuff and things that fans wouldn't even know about or even exists.

Best wishes from way down under

Good lord! That must be worth a few bob! Shocked

Thanks for sharing the info Jim! I was wondering how much Partridge Family memorabiellia would go for in an auction today, recently i have developed a taste for the antiques world and since 20th century antiques are very popular at the moment, and with a show like the Partridge family not widely known in todays mainstream media, im guessing some things (eg. David Cassidy Guitar, Patti Partridge etc.) must be really rare.

I was thinking of taking some Partridge items i found in a junk shop to the antiques roadshow to see if there is a market for them, even if there isn't im sure 30-40 years down the line people will be kicking themselves for not keeping partridge memorabilia when they see how much its worth! (look at Clarice Cliff- Nobody would be seen dead with her pottery, now they are worth thousands!)

keep up the good work!
Laurie Very Happy
