Has anybody ever seen this before?

I couldn't help but notice it on e bay. It says that the Track "Tomorrow" is a Paul and Linda Mc Cartney composition. Did the Mc Cartneys write a song for david? or is it a cover of a wings track?

Hey, Laurie, Ed could probably answer this but in the meantime(!) - I don't know if Paul recorded it but on the notes Home Is Where The Heart Is DC thanks Paul & Linda " .....for writing this wonderful song and for every other artist for not having the good sense to cut it..... "

Think you were just asking about the song but as mentioned it was on DC's Home Is Where The Heart Is and it's also on When I'm A Rock 'n Roll Star.

Hope that helps a bit?

Chez :)

BTW - I love the song, it's really nice! (Ooh and (10th edit!) not strange at all, at all! ) Smile

Yes, it's a cover of a Wings song. It is from Wings first album "Wild Life". The song is also on the "Wingspan" CD that came out a few years ago.

The entire Home Is where The heart Is RCA Release was probably my favorite of the three that David Did for RCA. To me it's just one great song after another including Tomorrow.a nd the song Bedtime which is the final track on side two. It would be great if they ever make it to CD.

Hey Laurie, not tried to listen but there's a sample on here...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000002ZAP/qid%3D1127325492/202-9595966-3947006

(I know it's for When I'm A Rock 'n Roll Star but it's #9)

As Steve says, it's a nice album and would be great to have on CD! BTW - Wish they'd release Gettin' It In The Street on CD too! Smile
Hope the link works,

I think sometimes a few crackles ads to the sound - (especially some really old records!) Even so, I do wish I'd taped my records before some got a bit too crackley!

BTW Joey, I love your descriptions! This'll sound daft but I loved your Teflon one!

Laurie, you will have to try and get a copy of the whole LP! Maybe from somewhere where you don't have to use Paypal!
BTW - He does a nice version of January on there! (By Pilot who also sang Magic - which I heard on some TV ad last night!)

Thanks so much for the Link Chez! I really got an insight into what it sounded like. And i have fallen in love with it! Mr. Green

Lainey has also very kindly offered to send me a CD to listen to, free of charge. Which may have a few "rice krispies" (I love Joey for that expression now! lol) but it dont bother me one bit!

This is going to sound so corny, but you guys rock!

Uh Oh... i feel like bursting into song...

I get by with a little help from my friends...

(be afraid, be VERY afraid!)Shocked

"Home Is Where The Heart Is" is the David album that brought me back after PF went off the air...."Bedtime" is my favorite DC solo song *ever*, so sweet and wonderful, the perfect lullaby...."I'll say I love you, and you say good...." Very Happy We *need* this one on CD!!!!!

Chezzie, wasn't "Tomorrow" a big hit for David when it first came out in England?? A shame it wasn't on this side of the pond, but David has always been underrated here.....

Yes, Bedtime is a lovely song!

It's funny (not funny ha-ha - funny sad!) that you mention that about Tomorrow, Lizzie! I thought it was a big hit too - that is until I looked it up and couldn't see it mentioned anywhere under DC in me old Guinness book - maybe it's a mistake!??

I think over here, DC was perhaps more detached from the PF - the PF just happened to be a TV series (and a very good one) that he was in. He wasn't any more like Keith Partridge than Elizabeth Montgomery (?) was like/a witch!

According to this old Guiness book of British Hit Singles (12th edition)...

DC top 20 hits
#1 How Can I Be Sure? ('72) & Daydreamer/The Puppy Song ('73)
#2 Could It Be Forever/Cherish ('72)
#3 I Am A Clown/Some Kind Of A Summer ('73)
#6 The Last Kiss ('85)
#9 If I Didn't Care ('74)
#11 with Rrrrrrrrock Me Baby ('72) & I Write The Songs/Get It Up For Love ('75)
#16 Please, Please Me ('74) & Darlin' ('75)

PF top 20 hits...
#3 Breaking Up Is Hard To Do ('72)
#9 Looking Through The Eyes Of Love ('73)
#10 Walking In The Rain ('73)
#11 It's One Of Those Nights ('72)
#18 I Think I Love You ('71)

BTW - sorry for any mistakes but I am still in VerifocalDenial....

I also think this is the best of David's RCA albums. My favorites from that album are "A Fool In Love" ,"Goodbye Blues" and of course "Bedtime".
