Danny...it will always be Danny! I had a crush on him when I was 5 years old and at 40 I still have a soft spot for Danny.
The year my big Sister was killed on my birthday,1972,my Mom took my other Sister and I to Disneyland to cheer us up.The most exciting moment of the trip was when we took the raft to Tom Sawyer's Island (I think that's what it was called) and there on the raft with us was Bonaduce! In case you happened to miss him he was wearing a football jersey the read DANNY on the back.My Sis went right up to him and said hi,but I didn't dare,if he'd been an a-hole I couldn't have dealt with the disappointment. My Dad bought me my first Bass guitar that same year and probably for the same reason.1972 was the all time suckiest year of my life aside from a Bass guitar and Danny Bonaduce. Thanks Danny, where ever you are.-DP
Danny will always be super special to me, but watching the DVD's I'm just really Loving Dave Madden, and since none of the rest of you are Showin' the Love i just thought I'd mention it.
By the way, I couldn't help noticing the deafening silence after my last post here. Too personal?

Dannyph, I was reading and noticed your post......I think most people have fond memories of PF encounters.....man, yours was a tough one. It's hard to lose a sibling and I can sympathize, I have lost 3. But at least you took something good from it and made a great thing for yourself from it. I'll bet your sister would be very proud (depending on what your beliefs are I would say IS very proud) Danny is a great favorite Partridge. He is one of mine and a great guy despite all his faults. Hope you and the band are doing well and I personally always look forward to your posts! Great to have you here!!! Wink

Partridgepal Very Happy

I can't thank you enough Partridgepal. Even though it was more than 33 years ago I can't get through a birthday without thinking about how old she would have been or what we could have shared together. She was 21 when she died and she was my hero. She was the only one in the family that could tell our abusive, alcoholic Father to go screw himself and get away with it. She turned me on to Hendrix and Zeppelin while tolerating PF quite well. I think she thought it was cool that a long haired guy like David Cassidy was such a big star on TV.

My parents never supported my musical interests, but that year they decided to get me the Bass I'd been wanting. I'd been a Beatle fan for years, but it was Danny Partridge that made me really want a Bass. The trip to Disneyland and seeing Bonaduce really helped to bring me out of my state of shock, and miming along to PF records in my room with my new Bass gave me a safe little world of my own to crawl into when I needed it. The Partridge Family was Alot more to me than a TV show I loved, it was everything my family never was and it got me through some pretty rough patches. I know I'm not the only one on this board who feels like that.

I hope that some day I can see my sister Jean again, although I have seen her at least once since she died, but that's another story. Thanks again Partridgepal, from my heart-Lee

dannyph,
i think it took a great deal of courage to post such a painful thing.
i've never lost a sibling, but my family life was so bad i ended up
in a shelter. i have much better life now, am engaged, and can
still remember the pf giving me an oasis in a desert of dispair.
i'm glad danny gave you a place to go too.

Congradulations! I wish you all the best, you deserve it. Very Happy If only Keith could come and sing at your wedding like he did for Snake. We performed at my cousin Andy's wedding. He's deaf and so is his wife and several of their friends. Marta (Laurie) said we'd finally found the perfect audience...so I punched her. Laughing

By the way Pardoner, just to get back on topic, I prefer the second Chris too.
