Wonder why Bell Records made the decision on using 6 songs on Side 1 & 5 songs on Side 2 on both Partridge Family & David Cassidy (with the exception on Cassidy's "Dreams Are Nuthin' More Than Wishes") which has 7 songs on Side 1 & 6 songs on Side 2. The 8 track tapes repeated a song except on "Christmas Card", "Notebook" & "Crossword Puzzle" & on Cassidy's "Cherish" & "Dreams Are Nuthin' More Than Wishes".

What I remember reading was that it was Wes Farrell's idea. By putting only 5 on side B he wanted the listener to feel like they missed out on one song and would then turn it over and play side A again. I'm pretty sure this was his thinking.

I remember reading something like this. I know the explanation is in the When were singin' book by Johnny Miller. I will double check in it later.

If you don't have the book, get it .. Its great.
