Legendary Hollywood and Broadway leading lady Shirley Jones makes her UK debut at the Arts Theatre for 12 performances only.

Shirley Jones was virtually unknown when Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein cast her as Laurie in the 1955 movie version of their hit stage musical Oklahoma! which bought her world wide fame. She followed this up with the films of The Music Man and Carousel and won the 1960 Academy Award for Elmer Ganty. Many of the UK fans got tickets to this, and are looking forward to seeing her show. She will get a nice age mix of audience there (as she does here) esp when they've not seen her perform there before. I'm sure they will - if not already - all be sold out! Very Happy And the TV hosts will be chuffed to interview her.

Yes I really admit that she is a very talented woman and as well as a true artist. I love to watch her show. She is also a good model to the youth and an inspiration to them.
