Cheng wants to see the new 'Fame' movie.
What are your thoughts?

Rent the DVD of the original. :D

I actually haven't seen the new film, but I hate when my favorites are re-made. I consider the original a modern-day classic of sorts. It's one of my favorite films from my teenage years. My friend and I were 14 and had to be a bit sneaky to get in (since it was Rated R). I still adore it.

You were 14 in 1980 when Fame came out? I was a college freshman. Now I feel ancient. Smile

That's only a 4-year difference, PJ. I was a freshman in high school. No biggie. You're NOT ancient. Smile

Took Cheng to see this. She says not bad.
She doesn't want to get the DVD though.

But what are your thoughts Darryl??

I think I'd just rather rent the original than see the new film.

One viewing was enough for me.
You can just wait until it comes to DVD.
I just took Cheng to see it because she's
been wanting to go to the movies lately.
She hasn't seen anything interesting lately
and I knew she liked dance movies.

Darryl

PS It was her b-day Friday too.

So somebody explain why Debbie Allen was in it, and why they didn't just make her the same character she played in the original, or TV series? I heard she was a different character? Dumb.

I'm looking forward to the remake of "Grease." I hear Spencer Bratt and Heidi Maytag are going to play Sandy and Danny. In that order. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I think she played the principal.
I'd like to hear more about this
remake of "Grease."
