I recently watched a dvd of a live 1950s TV drama (Studio One), that featured Sal Mineo (perhaps best known for his roles in "Rebel Without a Cause" and "Exodus".)

Anyway, after I watched the show, I checked out imdb, and found a most interesting item!

**************************************************************

Donated the drum he used in The Gene Krupa Story (1959) to another teen idol, David Cassidy, the day after a dinner with David and his father, Jack Cassidy. David was 13 at the time.

I read this somewhere before.
I think it was one of the magazines from back then.
The way I heard it was David got his drum set from former teen idol
Sal Mineo. No other details, just Sal gave David the drum set.
At least that's all I could remember. It may have mentioned his age in the article, but my feeble memory has forgotten that fact.

If memory serves, Susan Dey was in an episode of S.W.A.T. with Sal Mineo, but I can't remember if she had any scenes with him.

Please forgive me if this has already been covered, but I'm new here.

I was doing some Googling on Dale McRaven, who was a writer and producer of the show (and in a serious relationship with Susan Dey), and it seems he was a writer on The Dick Van Dyke Show in the '60s, and his writing partner's name was Carl Kleinschmitt. I wonder if Carl knew anyone named Bonnie?

Another writer on The Dick Van Dyke Show was Joe Bonaduce.

Many of the directors of the Dick Van Dyke Show also directed episodes of the PF, including Jerry Paris, Hal Cooper, and Claudio Guzman.
