Hi,
New to the board so hope this request is okay.
Been going nuts for weeks trying to find Tiger Beat Official Partridge Family Magazines to buy with no luck on ebay or anywhere else.
(Don't have $175 for issue 1 that is now on ebay, that's for sure).
Does anyone know where I might find some of the Partridge Family magazines, or maybe even better if anyone has scans of the mags I can get hold of (even scans to purchase)?
Thanks for any help!

Welcome to the Board! That $175.00 price is quite steep -- I seriously doubt it will sell.

I don't have scans -- although the front covers to each magazine are included in the collectibles section of this website ( http://www.cmongethappy.com/ccorner/covers.html ) if you need some sort of visual check list. I have seen the magazines go for as cheap as $10 a piece on eBay, though. I hope you find them. Very Happy

I tried two ebay auctions for cheaper copies of the magazine and got beat both times, but will keep trying.
Thanks for taking the time for a reply to my message. Smile

Hi Jomguy: :D

And WELCOME aboard the big, Mondrian bus!

Scott, of course, is absolutely right about those eBay prices. If it's the SAME issue I've recently seen for bid, it's original opening bid (a few weeks ago) was $400! Shocked As there were no takers, the following week it came down to $300, so I guess it's now down to $175! Still too high (INHO) for a nearly-40-year-old magazine (no matter WHAT the subject!) that was 50 cents BRAND NEW!Confused Evil or Very Mad I had the same problem myself when trying to collect these issues: I was almost always outbid, and the TWO times I DID win, the final cost for one was $25 (though it was in excellent condition); the other was a mere $6 -- but it was so shoddy it was (literally) falling apart at the seams! Mad

But, as Scott has said (and HE should know better than anyone Wink ) you CAN find decent copies on eBay for cheaper. I've seen them offered in groups (four or more) for less than $60, depending on their condition.

Me, I lucked out RIGHT HERE last year when a seller offered the ENTIRE 15-issue set for a very reasonable price Very Happy , so keep checking THIS thread as well 'cause you never can tell!

Happy Hunting and, again, WELCOME!!
Best,
Sabrina Wink

I sorta kinda like the idea of scanning the pages, and somehow creating an area in the Collector's Corner section so people can see/read them without going broke. That certainly something to think about! Very Happy

Great idea Scott. I haven't seen my issues in ages.
They are buried in my collection.
I GIVE all my duplicates to my friend Anna.
I don't even charge her.
I like watching that $175 issue to see how low it will go.

Well, it would be great when someone is charging $500 on ebay for Official Partridge Family Magazine #1 to somehow get scans of the magazines as buying copies seems out of the question now.

I'd pay for a DVD or CD of the scans if anyone has the time and inclination to make scans.

Just a thought if any takers Smile

That's a more realistic price.
And I know the seller too. Nice lady.
Her magazines are usually very clean.
I got a couple 80s mags from her and it's like they just came off the newsstand.
