My best advice is don't bid until the last day.
The earlier you bid, the more chance you give someone to outbid you.

There are also sniping services you can subscribe to, that will place you last minute bid for you -- literally seconds before the auctions end.

I was wondering about those sniping services. I guess you just google for them?

I have been sniped a bunch of times recently. How do these work?

I prefer to snipe manually.
There's more thrill in it that way.

You must lose a lot of auctions.

Not everybody can be at their computers when auctions end. Plus, if you're ever having internet issues, it always seems to happen when you are trying to bid at the last second.

Better to use a sniper service, such as auctionsniper.com. Check it out, Kathy -- it explains it all there. It's quite easy and I think your first 3 snipes are free.

If I can be at home when the auction ends it's great.
If I can't I at least put my maximum bid in on the last day.
Actually I lose very few auctions.
I have only lost 1 auction so far this year.

Thanks.

I think I already screwed up on the set of PF Green cards I'm bidding on now. Fortunately, I will be home and I think I can set my laptop up conveniently.

But I'll look at the software for the future.

Thanks for the advice folks!

Oh, it's not software -- it's a site that you subscribe to that will place the bids for you. Very Happy

I would use sniping software except I don't bid too much on ebay.
I have a lot of the stuff listed.
I do find nice items for my collection.
But I have to sort all the cheap junk to get it. (Just my opinion).

Thanks Scott for the info on the second mag, maybe this time I will win at least one of them on Ebay!

Jomguy: :D

Keep an eye out for PF Magazines on Amazon as well. While I have yet to see them offered there, I HAVE bought a couple of vintage magazines there featuring articles on DC. There are no guarantees, of course (unfortunately), but you gotta cover ALL the bases, right.

Best of luck with it,
Sabrina Wink

And I thought the nearly $600 someone recently wanted for the Remco bus was outrageous! Shocked Evil or Very Mad Rolling Eyes

I've seen the Remco bus (complete with people and original box) go for upwards of $1,000.00 before.
