Hey, Everyone -

Welcome to my first post! I've been a fan of The PF forever, and just got season 3 ... and many questions!

First, I wanted to ask want kind of guitar does Keith have in season 3? I'm referring to that white one ... if I recall correctly, it was made by a relatively obscure guitar company back then - Dan Electro?

Any info appreciated!

Thanks.

THANKS for the welcome!

While the kids are watching PF downstairs, I thought I'd check the board!

Did Ovation ever make electric guitars?

The one I'm talking about is the white electric one.

I'm gonna check around the 'net, too - I WILL own that model of guitar someday!

Come to think of it, there is a disclaimer at the end of each show stating that the instruments were supplied by Ovation....I have to agree that is one cool guitar, I love the shape....I always wanted one when I was younger.....do you play???

Well I play guitar and while I don't claim to be an expert... But after season one I only saw Ovation Guitars on the show. I had A low priced Ovation 6 string Acoustic with an aluminum fretboard when I was a teenager. but then I got to Play A friends Martin and That got me right off of Ovations Of course the Guitar I own and love is a Guild D4 Acoustic One of the last of the ones made in Rhode Island. Martins Are a bit too much for me As I have the fingers of an Eleven year old boy, even though I'm a young Forty Something. As far as I know, Ovation doesn't even bother With the Solid body Electric anymore, So I'm pretty sure You'd have to pay a pretty penny for one of those. Rolling Eyes

I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure the model is an Ovation Breadwinner. You see them come up every so often on ebay. Hope this helps! Very Happy

Johnny is right. There is an auction for one of these on ebay right now. I tried to link it, but I screwed up on something. LOL Go to ebay and put ovation breadwinner in the search box, it should come up.

Okay, I learned not one, but TWO things here! Never knew Ovation made electrics - and of course, never knew what company supplied the PF ... thanks!

I'm going to check that eBay listing now.

Okay, just saw that listing ... MAN, do I want one! Also read up on the history, etc. I just KNEW I saw Ace Frehley with one at some point. The model on eBay is exactly what I want, but at a $560 starting bid with a reserve, is a little out of my league right now.

Thanks again!

You and me both! I played one a couple of years ago, and liked the feel, but it was just a bit beat up for my taste, so I let it go. The one on ebay does look nice, tho...

That Ebay listing has hit the $900 mark, and the reserve has still not been met....way out of my price range for sure! LOL
