We got home yesterday from our Mexican cruise from San Diego to Cabo and back. We had an inside cabin on the lower level & the boat rocked the whole way- not rough, just a lot of movement. We had great food, including lobster (for the capt's party/formal night) & duck. The entertainment was fun, in fact, the first night, our comic was Alan Bursky from the Al in the Family episode of the PF (with Ruebin's nephew). I'd like to say he aged as well as David, but he's not as much of a string bean with cute hair as he was (still short) and has a hang-dog expression on his face. His sense of comic timing was off too. I wanted to talk to him & ask him about the PF & get a photo, but never had the chance. The rest of the entertainment was great with two production shows with a group of singers & dancers, & a "Carnival Legends" show featuring guests as performers such as Madonna, Garth Brooks, Elton John & Ricky Martin (My dad was chosen to do Sinatra & brought down the house with his version of My Way!)
I entered the Trivia contests & won a general trivia, name that TV theme song (no PF), & a Weakest Link (another woman & I tied). For each contest, I won a "24-caret, solid plastic ship on a stick!" I gave one to another girl on our TV trivia team one, but I still have a pair of bookends! Our Tour Director, Stewart, was Austrailian, & I was picked out of the audience to be interviewed by him . It was fiulmed for closed circuit TV & shown the rest of the cruise, so I videoed it for all to see Cruise to Mexico http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=20135622 _________________ keep rocking with the Cassidys

Cheryl,
Sounds like a fun cruise! Too bad about Alan Bursky though. I did a check on him on IMDB and only came up with an Alan Bursky who appeared on Johnny Carson a few times in 72/73. No mention of TPF. Even on the "Al in the Family" episode cast listing doesn't include him. I was wondering what his career turned out to be. Any info on that Cheryl?
Anyway we all get old - oh except for you of course - I'm sure you are as adorable as ever. I never age either haha :)

In the Drew Carey Show episode in which Shirley and Danny appeared, Alan Bursky appeared as Workman #1. Small world, huh?
Enjoyed the video, Cheryl! |
