Ever notice that parts of "As Long As You're There" sound like Paul Simon's "Mother and Child Reunion" and "Peace in Your Soul" sounds like CCR's "Lodi" in parts?

That is so funny that you should bring this topic up Sunshine Eyes, because I just listened to As Long As Your There the other day and was thinking the same exact thing. It totally sounds like Mother and Child Reunion. My question is which song came first? Mother and Child was a hit for Paul Simon, which is why everyone recognizes the tune, but was it released before or after the PF recorded As Long As Your There?

Then there's also "Friend and a Lover" which sounds like that song that goes "Na Na Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye".

"Sunshine" sounds like a jazzed up version of that old gospel hymn "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands".

Then of course, a number of songs actually were remakes: Echo-Valley 26809, Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, Walking In The Rain, We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, Oh, No Not My Baby, and the whole Christmas album (with the exception of My Christmas Card To You) to name a few.

Echo Valley is a remake?? That's news to me. I know Wayne Newton did
a version on his Wes Farrell produced "Daddy don't you walk so fast" lp,
but I'm pretty sure the PF did it first. Anyone else have info on this?

I always thought that the middle part of "Love Must Be the Answer" --
the line after "the Streets of Heaven are paved in gold" --sounded
very similar to the Beatles' "Yes it Is."

What about 'Roller Coaster?" Who did it first, the PF or Blood Sweat and Tears?
