This was the PF episode that aired during N@N's 20th anniversary celebration on TV Land this weekend. It was the same edited version of the ep. that N@N/TVL ran in '97 (?) when they did an ABC Friday night flashback for '71. Guess it's the only one they have the rights to show. Anyway, it was great seeing the PF on TVL, even if it was just a one-time thing. |

Yes, indeed. Unfortunately....it made me salivate for wanting the second season set even more!
Let's hope it's not a whole year that goes by before that happens!
BTW: having watched a few of these former NAN/TVLand classics this weekend....okay, I know I'm a geek but does it bug anyone else that -- as on the DVD release -- they lop off the classic Screen Gems logo and associated sound and replace it with whatever the "current" Columbia-owned logo is?? (e.g., in this "Dora" ep, they used the then-current Columbia Pictures Television logo) UGH! |

Yeah, that bugs me too. But I think it's a legal issue since Screen Gems is no longer in use as a television production company. I *think* Sony now uses the Screen Gems name for their smaller independant film releases. |

Yup, I think you're right - I thought that they dubbed it "Screen Gems Films" to distinguish from the television division? I dunno... I think it's more about Sony wanting to brand its name on as much as possible...understandable, but still annoying! |

I love "Dora Dora Dora"....Keith falling in love with a tone-deaf singer, and singing a little of "I Left My Heart In San Francisco plus "I Woke Up In Love This Morning", one of my favorite PF songs ever--what more could I want!!! The second season needs to be available ASAP!!!!!!!! |

Dora was probably the William Hung of her day. DVD is the best way to watch old TV shows without the edits and commercials. Does anyone remember seeing the PF on Screen Gems TV. The episodes were edited even more in order to put in some useless trivia and stupid stuff. |

Doubt she was Hung, either. |

There's a line in this episode where Laurie says to Reuben, "I get the feeling that a stranger is going to be singing with us", referring, of course, to Dora. The funny thing is, as we all know, is that this is Brian Forster's first show as the new Chris. Wonder if it was a deliberate attempt at irony by Lloyd Turner and Gordon Mitchell? |

Yeah, David, that lucky dog. He at least dated her for a little bit. I recall a TV Guide article about his first solo concert tour, she tagged along for a few stops. |
