Farmers Insurance commercial features a woman driving thru her neighborhood, waving to people. At the end, someone's washing their car in their driveway, and it's the PF house!! I recognized Morning Glory Circle, but as commercials are SOOOO short, you have to have an eagle eye! How exciting! Very Happy Dancing

How funny is that; I just saw it about 15 minutes ago and thought I was seeing things! I had heard that the PF house was blown up for another show!

Something was blown up for a movie, but the facade of the PF house is still there. I hope they never get rid of all the facades on that whole strip. I sure would love to walk through there, that would be such a dream........

The house is still around, but yes, it was blown up for Lethal Weapon. That's the magic of Hollywood for ya! Very Happy

And if I recall....the Bewitched house was set ablaze for an episode of Tim Allen's Home Improvement...yet it remains intact, right down the block. Wink

I got to go to the filming that day at the Ranch. It was supposed to be Al's mother's house and Tim somehow causes a gas leak which in turn causes an explosion. But, only the front door was blown off the hinges and there were small pockets of fire. But, it wasn't set totally on fire. Very Happy

Scott, what's that new structure going up at the Ranch on the Hollywood Way side? Parking? Just curious.... Wink

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe neighborhood on the TV series "Desperate Housewives" is the same neighborhood/street that The Partridges Family series was filmed on. I swear I have seen the Partridge house. I believe it is right across the street from either Lynettes' or Gabrielle's house. I forget which one. But I swear I have seen it, it maybe altered slightly. Next time DH airs take a look.

Nope, sorry to burst your bubble but they're shot at two different studios: DH is filmed at Universal, TPF was done very nearby but at the old Columbia Ranch. The reason the housefronts look familiar though is you probably recognize one or more of them from old Universal movies and shows like The Munsters or Leave it to Beaver. Good eye; wrong "neighborhood". Very Happy

I believe Susan's house was the Hardy Boy's house -- so, there is a PF connection. Very Happy

They've really altered the Universal houses for DH. The newest casualty is the Munster house, which is barely recognizable. The Leave it to Beaver house across the street is actually the poor imitation they built for the LITB movie. The original LITB house set was moved off the street for "The Burbs", and is now up by the house they used for a daytime show a few years ago, and I believe also for the Christopher Lowell show. It's in bad shape, and used for storage now, but at least it looks the same!

Hey Panther, is the Munster's house used by any of the characters in DH or is it just a "fill-in" house? Thanks!
