I know where I was 35 years ago tonight. Panasonic tape recorder at the ready. Excited about what I knew would be my favorite new show! The day is almost done, but couldn't let it pass without recognizing the 35th Anniversary of the premier of the PF! Very Happy

Gosh I have no idea where I was 35 years ago! (And am I really that old?!? ) But Happy 35th Anniversary! And a big thanks to you, Mickey and Scott for this wonderful sight! :)

Chez :)

BTW - have you still got all your old tapes, Jen? I have a few but they don't sound too great - there's my old granny (bless her) coming in every few mins saying "Who's in and who's out?" and an annoying buzz from the telly..

Laughing WOW!! I can't believe it's been 35 years since the PF was on TV!! I was only 13 years old then!! I can fondly remember waiting and looking forward to Friday nights so that I could watch the PF!! My sister and brother (both younger than me) not liking it as much as I did but they would watch it with me. Then when it moved to Saturday night I would again waiting and looking forward to seeing it all week. I remember it was on up against All in the Family and that was one show my dad didn't like.

Thanks for the info Jennifer!!

Pat

I honestly don't remember the specifics surrounding that fateful night in 1970-- I guess because I was only 9 years old. I do know the episode left an indelible impression on me! Very Happy

Happy Anniversary folks!

Same here. I just remember I hardly missed an episode. If something came up and i missed ot I was really upset.
It sure would be nice if someone would run it on the tube, even if the dvd's are available, there's just something magical about watching it on TV, just the way you remembered it the first time.

I agree ... but to have the full effect I'd need to run out and find a black and white TV ... we were totally the last family on Earth to get a color television Laughing

It is hard to believe it has been 35 years since our favorite show -
"THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY" premiered on ABC-TV.

I remember every year I couldn't wait till Premiere night. I'd get a
tv guide to look up what night the new season would start in September.
I can even remember enjoying the ABC New Season Promos for their new Season of New and returning Shows.

And, like another poster - I too watched on Black and White tv until
the third or fourth season when my Mother went to work as a teacher's aide and bought a color set.

And, of course I always watched for the latest Partridge LP's to come out.

Now, of course, I wait for the DVD's and CD's to be re-released!
I'm still waiting for "Bulletin Board" to be released on CD. I just bought Season 2 on DVD, recently.
