Hey guys. Unless somebody posted this and I missed it... there's a 4 CD set "Anthology" available on EBay. Everything ever recorded... There's a disclaimer that some songs are from the TV shows, etc. It looks pretty good - art wise. We all know it's as homemade product... but what bothers me it's the "Arista" logo that appears everywhere on the CD jacket, CDs, etc. Do they have the right to use the "Arista" logo on these kind of products ?

If they're imported from anywhere, it would be China as Chinese counterfeits.

Arista wouldn't be selling TV versions hacked off the DVD soundtracks. They have access to the never-heard stereo mixes.

Everything on here has been readily available in bootlegs for decades.

So no, this isn't an Arista release by any stretch.

They say made in West Germany.
What I think is funny is that they use the same bar code for all 4 CDs

Darryl.

West German bootlegs. Some of the songs sound like they were recorded right off the TV with a cassette recorder in the 1970's. I was given one of the volumes (surprise!) as a birthday present last year. Don't waste your money.

I find them listenable. With my car CD they work well since they are recorded as CD audio and not finicky MP3.

Each disc covers a season so there is a certain logic to them.

However, they are not official despite the packaging.

Still would love an official, licensed release with perfect audio.

Maybe Johnny's book will help to encourage such a release. We can only hope Smile
