The original was done by Eric Burdon & The Animals back in 1964 or 1965. Singer Elvis Costello also did the remake back in 1985 (from "King Of America").

Like most of you, on this message board, I was not aware that the majority of the songs were remakes but original recordings. I too thought that "Looking Through The Eyes Of Love" was an original but obviously we have been corrected.

Oh No Not My Baby Smile The Partridge Family introduced me to this song and years later I heard the Manfred Mann version, thinking 'where have I heard this before?' Lol, I figured it out. The covers the PF's recorded were all great. Shucks, Walking In The Rain! Are you kidding me? What a tremendous tune!
BTW, Barbara Lewis (Maybe best known for 'Baby, I'm Yours' and 'Make Me Your Baby') recorded 'Working On A Groovy Thing' as the title track to her album, before the 5th Dimension recorded it.

"Oh No Not My Baby" was done by singer Maxine Brown in 1964. Also done by Rod Stewart in 1973.

Just wanted to add that I also always liked the PF's version of "We've Gotta Get Out Of this Place" too.

I love the song "We Gotta Get Outta This Place" too (who am I kidding? I Love ALL their songs) although it did seem out of place on that album...I don't think it was ever used on the show either, perhaps they thought of it as filler....I think, in my biased opinion, that all the Partridge remakes were better than the originals.....

I really liked "Crying In The Rain" I thought the backing vocals were one of their all time best

"Oh No, Not My Baby". The PF version comes in second, right behind the Rod Stewart version.
