I guess politics hasn't changed too much.
However, in this case at least, candidates did come out ok.
If only the PF way of life was real
Happy Labor Day everybody. _________________ Kathy in St. Louis |

Laurie was a snot during this episode. When Keith just happened to walk by her candidate's speech, someone asked him a question and he answered it. Then Laurie got all upset at it, so I think she treated him unfairly in this one. |

Just watched this one, for Mrs. Cassidy (if that is her real name)
Made photos of KP running for pres...
Anyway. Love this one. It's a great comment on politics and one of the reasons why the PF is a classic. IMHO.
Keith is completely inept as a political leader, he tells his classmates not to vote for him and he wins anyway! Good campaign strategy Keith! Just be your pretty self! Like Laurie points out, 'Phillis doesn't have a chance against Keith's magnetic field.' True.
Love Phillis' speech about 'freedom' too. Get a politician in a corner and they pull the 'freedom' card! Individuality hurray! Even if it is over band uniforms! Good campaign promise too. Very unlikely to happen. Can you imagine a school letting a marching band wear what they want? Even in the 70s?
Funny! |
