Word of mouth on this movie is incredible, and it's getting major Oscar buzz. I haven't seen it but would love to.
Has anyone seen it yet? |

This is a great movie. It has been winning awards at several film fests and was very entertaining and clever. It is interesting to see the "caste system" of rich and poor that I have heard about in India explored in this film. (Although, since I have not actually been there, I can not speak to how real the portrayal of this aspect of the culture actually is) The performances are very strong and the two young leads are excellent (Each of the two main characters is played well by three different aged actors and all are great). There is some violence, but it adds to the challenge of the young man to persist and overcome all obstacles to find the girl he has loved from a very young age, so it fits in the plot well. I don't want to give away the ending, so I am not saying whether he finally gets the girl or not, and there are several twists that kept the story from being too predictable.
