|
|
This was posted on www.tvshowsondvd.com this morning:
Reader Christine Berni, the woman responsible for the American Gothic DVD petition, wrote in with some good news from Comicon. Shaun Cassidy (creator/executive producer) told attendees to his panel that the show would be out in October. We placed some calls to our retail friends and kept hearing a single date, October 25. Keep in mind that date hasn't come from Universal, and isn't set in stone, but it sounds as though that's the date they have in mind.
[Shaun attended Comicon in San Diego to talk about his new fall series, "Invasion".] |

I heard about this from some Comic Con attendees, and got the same email later. This is great news to me. I really loved American Gothic - at least the first half or better. As I recall, CBS became confused and worried about the show, and started calling some of the shots and there in started the trouble. For those who didn't see it when it aired, I definitely recommend giving it a look when the DVDs arrive. _________________ Jennifer

It had a full season pick-up, so my guess is about 22 hour long episodes. |

I remember telling a friend to check out the show when it was on.
I didn't tell him who did the show until later on.
He thought it was a great show. I'll let him know about the DVDs.

I loved this show when it originally aired, although I'm not sure if I saw it to the end either. Was there any sort of ending to the series? I sort of hate when shows with an ongoing story arc are cancelled and don't get any sort of proper ending. I'll probably have to pick this up though. I thought Gary Cole was really scary, and I've loved Lucas Black ever since seeing him on this show (It did come before he was in Sling Blade didn't it?). I was surprised to see him in Friday Night Lights last year. I really hadn't seen him in anything for quite awhile and didn't realize how much he'd grown up. He's an interesting actor. |
