Picked up the DVD Box Set from Best Buy yesterday, pricematched to Circuit City for $19.99. No CD yet. Checked Best Buy, (Store Clerk-"There's a CD in the box set". URRR!!!), Circuit City, Tower, and Target and no CD.

Co-workers think I'm nuts. 41 yr old man into the Partridge Family. Oh well. Simpler times and better music. If made today, Shirley would be wh****g around, Laurie would have 3 kids and be on welfare, and Danny would be in Juvie. It is also hard to explain to them that I am not necessarily a David Cassidy fan. Yes, it is his voice on the songs I know and love. Yes, I have seen him on stage a few times and have most of his available CD's. But I am more of a Keith Partridge fan which is - the Cassidy ego.

Anyway, limiting myself to one episode a night. Always loved the second episode which I watched tonite.

Now my question. It looks like the episodes are in the airdate order. Is this different from the production order? I know it made a big difference when I watched the Monkees episodes in their production order.

And Scott, though I am mostly just a lurker here, I can never thank you enough for all you have done for the world of the Partridge Family. Without your help, I am sure all of us would have a lot less available Partridge enjoyment in our lives.

Thanks.

Production order would almost certainly be different than air date order. But it's possible that they could have filmed out of production order too, depending on what shape the final script was in. They may have had to jump ahead to a script that was scheduled two - three weeks down the road if the one they were working on was still being polished.

If you think it's an important addition, I can track down most of the production numbers fairly easily, and compare them to the air date order. Very Happy

Do any websites exist or is there some place that would have information regarding the shows episode production numbers? Personally, I would love to watch the shows in production order and not orginal air date order. Strange and geeky I realize. Any help would be appreciated. Wink

Here's one I like:
http://www.tvtome.com/PartridgeFamily/

Then just click on "episode list" or "episode guide".

I can't speak to its accuracy however, but it's a nice site for reference. Very Happy

Scott, it would be great if you are able to get this info together. I am interested in it and I doubt I could find it anywhere else. I just don't want to bother you if it's going to take a lot of your time.

Thanks for your help.

Hey, don't worry about it. Very Happy It'll be a fun addition. I know I can get most of the episode numbers -- just give me some time to track it down.

I think it'll make sense to add them to each episode's synopsis, along with the air dates which already appear in the Episode Guide.

Cool! Cool
This is a nice feature on all the I Love Lucy DVDs: the slipcases for the discs indicate the original airdate and production number; the episodes themselves show the original airdate along with the title of the episode. Very Happy

Digging in the vaults here and found this little thread. I was wondering if you ever found time to track down the production dates vs. the air dates?

I think this an interesting subject and would like to check this out....
