Just made a connection that I found interesting -- don't know if anybody else will, but here goes...

Jackie Ward was the voice double for Natalie Wood in THE GREAT RACE and INSIDE DAISY CLOVER. In DAISY you can hear where Natalie's voice ends and Jackie's begins on the song "You're Gonna Hear From Me." I always knew it wasn't Natalie, but isn't it cool to find out it's my Partridge girl!

Jackie talks about that and a whole lot more in our interview with her in the People and Places section of the website:

We were supposed to include sound bytes from that film as well as another, but haven't been able to track them down. :::sigh:::: Another thing to add to the mile-long list of things to do. Laughing

I have Daisy Clover. Do you want sound only or sound and video?

Hmmm. Good question. I guess since Jackie sings but isn't seen on screen, a sound clip would be best. If you have one, that would be great! The friend of mine that was supposed to start formatting audio and video clips ran into a problem with the software and his new computer, so I am S.O.L. right now as far as adding any commercials and new audio clips. Very Happy

I did not know the Jackie Ward that sang on the Partridge Family songs was a female. I always thought it was Jackie Ward that had several country music hits in the 1970's. The way I always thought was that there were four guys for harmonies and Shirley's voice on top. I saw the name Jackie Ward listed as one of the background singers on the Grease soundtrack album. I wonder if it was her or him? Does anybody know about this?

IMHO, Jackie Ward had a great career. Working with all the greats, always having work available, not having to endure the ups and downs and pressures of being a star...

Here! Here! Jackie certainly had the best of both worlds! Most likely STILL does! God bless her! And the rest of The Wrecking Crew for that matter!

Scott,
If you don't already have it I also have "You're Gonna Hear From Me" from "Inside Daisy Clover". I'd be more that happy to send it to you.
