Hollywood writer Art Baer (who penned Partridge Family Episodes #92 and #95 with his writing partner, the late Ben Joelson) has passed away from cancer. The following is his obituary from Daily Variety:

Art Baer
Writer, producer

Emmy Award-winning writer-producer Art Baer died Sept. 17 in Los Angeles from complications of cancer. He was 81.

Services will be held at noon Thursday at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, Los Angeles.

Born in New York City's Washington Heights, he graduated from New York U. and began his career writing for "The Robert Q. Lewis Show," where he met his writing partner of 40 years, Ben Joelson.

Together they wrote more than 100 scripts for sitcoms including "The Andy Griffith Show," "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "Gomer Pyle," "Get Smart," "The Odd Couple," "The Partridge Family," "Car 54, Where Are You?," "Alice," "The Jeffersons," "Hogan's Heroes" and "Happy Days."

From 1977-85, Baer and Joelson were associated with Aaron Spelling Prods. as writers and executive producers of "The Love Boat."

Among Baer's other credits were specials for Victor Borge, Perry Como and Flip Wilson. He also wrote variety shows for Jonathan Winters, Jim Nabors and Carol Burnett, for which he shared a writing Emmy in 1972.

He is survived by his partner of 45 years, Charles Colarusso, and a brother, Paul Baer.

I didn't know he was on The Partridge Family. What episodes and charactor did he played on the show? Was he the one that painted the naked lady on their garage or was that somebody else? Thanks Scott for finding this and posting it on here. R.I.P Art Baer.

Peace,
Little Laurie
